All trial jurors are on “standby.” Trial jurors report for service only when instructed.
Grand Jurors and Town/Village Jurors check your summons for instructions.
These instructions are updated daily after 6:00 p.m.

If your jury duty is on a Monday, you may call or check this website to verify the need to report on the Friday before your scheduled appearance date after 5:00 P.M. or any time over the weekend.

Absence or Emergency If illness or emergency prevents you from reporting, please call our office at 585-201-5775 after 9:00 a.m. on the day you are to report.

Court Hours Court normally operates from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a lunch hour and breaks throughout the day. Court sessions rarely continue beyond 5:00 p.m.
Electronics Cell phones and other electronic devices may be used in the jury assembly rooms and other waiting areas. They must be turned off during jury selection and trial. There is public access Wi-Fi in the County courthouse. There are computer work stations in the jury assembly room.
Meals There is a mid-day lunch break every day. There are restaurants within walking distance of courthouse. You may also bring a lunch, if you prefer. Meals are only provided for deliberating jurors. All other meals are the responsibility of the juror.
Parking/Transportation The court does not pay for transportation fares, parking fees or parking violations. There is free public parking available in the parking lot behind the courthouse.
Security Court Officers are stationed throughout the court. Members of the public must pass through a magnetometer to enter. Please arrive early and allow extra time for this process.
Please be aware: The New York State Court System does not ask prospective jurors for financial information such as credit card, bank account, or personal information such as social security numbers or information about family members. Do not provide this kind of information to anyone claiming to represent the court system.
