Daily Reporting Message for Trial Jurors
Monday July, 6, 2015  
 All trial jurors are on “standby.” Trial jurors report for service only when instructed.
Grand Jurors and Town/Village Jurors  check your summons for instructions.  
These instructions are updated daily at 12:45 p.m. &  after 5:30 p.m.

For Jurors of the July 6, 2015 Jury Term:
 
Juror #'s A1 - A450 - Please REPORT to the Central Jury Room at the Hall of Justice by no later than 8:20 AM on Monday July 6th.  We plan to start our orientation by 8:30 AM so plan to arrive after 8:00 AM but before 8:20 to reduce your security screening wait.  Our orientation will begin at 8:30 AM.
 
Juror #'s A451 - A700 - Please check at 12:45 PM on Monday afternoon for updated reporting instructions.  If you are employed, advise your employer that you might be required to report to the Hall of Justice within one hour of checking at 12:45 PM.
 
Juror #'s A701 - A1100 - Please check after 5:30 Pm on Monday, July 6th as you are not required to report on Monday.

General Information​ ​
 
Absence or Emergency ​   ​If illness or emergency prevents you from reporting, please call our office at 585-371-3833 after 9:15 a.m. on the day you are to report.  For updates during weather emergencies call 585-371-3860.  The Hall of Justice very rarely closes due to weather.
 
Accessibility   If you have a disability and need accommodation, call 585-371-3833 or 1-800-662-1220 for relay call.
Deaf Jurors are asked to contact us as soon as practical to make arrangements for ASL interpreting.
 
Court Hours   Court normally operates from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a lunch hour and breaks throughout the day.  Court sessions rarely continue beyond 5:00 p.m.
 
Electronics​  ​Cell phones and other electronic devices may be used in the jury assembly rooms and other waiting areas.  They must be turned off during jury selection and trial. There is public access Wi-Fi in the County courthouse. There are computer work stations in the jury assembly room.
 
Meals ​​There is a mid-day lunch break every day.  The Hall of Justice has a Coffee Stand and News Stand which sell sandwiches, salads, prepackaged foods and beverages. Jurors can bring their own food, we have a refrigerator and microwave.  DO NOT bring any metal utensils or glass bottles as they are considered to be potential weapons.
 
Parking/Transportation The court does not pay for transportation fares, parking fees or parking violations.  Check the link above this section,  to downtown rochester. com for a a parking map.  Plan your trip accordingly to allow time to find parking and arrive on time. There is a wide variety of choices with different costs and distances from the Hall of Justice.
 
Security  ​Court Officers are stationed throughout the court.  Members of the public must pass through a magnetometer to enter.  Please arrive at the entrance to the building 30 minutes early and allow extra time for this process.
 
Jury Pay  Pay and other related topics will be discussed as part of the orientation.  Please check with your employer as soon as you recieve the summons.  We will collect the informatioin when you check-in on your first day of service.
