Absence or Emergency If illness or emergency prevents you from reporting, please call our office at 585-283-6659 after 9:00 a.m. on the day you are to report. In the event of inclement weather or emergency closings, information will be posted on this website as soon as it becomes available.

Court Hours Court normally operates from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a lunch hour and breaks throughout the day. Court sessions rarely continue beyond 5:00 p.m. The Commissioner of Jurors Office opens at 8:30 a.m.
Electronics Cell phones and other electronic devices may be used during breaks. They must be turned off during jury selection, trial, and grand jury sessions. There is public access Wi-Fi in the County courthouse.
Meals There is a mid-day lunch break every day. There are restaurants within walking distance of the courthouse. You may bring your lunch but there is NO eating or drinking except water allowed in the courtroom.
Parking/Transportation The court does not pay for transportation fares, parking fees, or parking violations. The main entrance to the Court is located on East State Street and the parking lot and entrance with elevator access is located on East Park Street. Security Court Officers are stationed throughout the court. Members of the public must pass through a magnetometer to enter. Please arrive early and allow extra time for this process.

Do not provide this kind of information to anyone claiming to represent the court system.
