Daily Reporting Message for Trial Jurors

All TRIAL JURORS should only report for Jury Duty when instructed to do so. Your summons indicates the date your jury service begins and it provides your Juror call-in ID #. Trial jurors report for service only when their Juror ID # is listed in the range of numbers below, or if it is listed on the recorded message (914-824-5600 - OPTION #1). Jurors should check this website, or call the evening before they are summoned to start jury duty AND jurors should call every evening after 5:00 p.m. during that week.
GRAND JURORS Grand Jurors are summoned for a 4 week period and will be required to serve two or three days a week.
Grand Jurors, City Court Jurors and Town/Village Jurors check your summons for instructions.
These instructions are updated daily after 5:00 p.m.

Absence or Emergency If illness or emergency prevents you from reporting, please call our office at 914-824-5620 after 8:00 a.m. on the day you are to report.

Attendance Verification Jurors will be given a certificate of service as verification of their jury service. This may be used for your employer, and for a 4 year exemption from Federal jury duty and a 6 year exemption from State and local jury service.
Court Hours Court normally operates Monday thru Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a lunch hour and breaks throughout the day. Court sessions rarely continue beyond 5:00 p.m.
Court Delays In case of inclement weather, listen to your local TV or Radio Stations, check this website, or call 914-824-5600 (select option #1) after 7:30 am on the day you are to report for jury duty, for information on court closings or court delays.
Electronics Cell phones and other electronic devices may be used in the jury assembly rooms and other waiting areas. They must be turned off during jury selection and trial. There is public access Wi-Fi in the County courthouse. There are computer work stations in the jury assembly room.
Meals There is a mid-day lunch breakdaily. There is a coffee shop in the courthouse lobby which has refreshments, soft drinks, bagels, rolls, sandwiches and snacks. There are also many restaurants within walking distance of the courthouse and in the Mall located across the street.
Parking/Transportation Jurors should park in the Library or Galeria Parking Garage, which are located on Martine Ave. between So Lexington and Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. Please park at a RED (12 hour) or BLUE (3 hour) meter and put in enough time on the meter to enable you to stay until at least 1:00 p.m. Jury Duty may continue until 5:00 p.m., but you will have breaks during he day and will be able to add more time to your meter, if necessary. Remember to bring your parking receipt with you, and DO NOT leave it in the car. Oversized vehicles must use the Hamilton Ave. Municapal Lot. Once you are selected for a trial, FREE parking will be provided to all Jurors on the case. The court does not pay for transportation fares, parking fees or parking violations. Grand Jurors will report at 2:00 PM on the first day of jury duty, and have to put in enough time on the meter to enable them to stay until 4:30 PM.
If you have served on either Federal or City court within the past 6 years, please bring proof of service with you.
Security Court Officers are stationed throughout the court. All Jurors and the public must pass through a magnetometer to enter. Please arrive early and allow extra time for this process. Firearm, knives, scissors, pepper spray and dangerous instruments are prohibited in the court building and will be confiscated. Your cooperation and patience is appreciated in this effort to keep our facility and all court users safe.
