 All Trial Jurors are on “standby.” Trial jurors report for service only when instructed.
Grand Jurors and Town/Village Jurors  check your summons for instructions.  
You may also call 315-536-5125 to hear a recorded message.
 
 

 

This message is directed to those trial jurors on telephone stand-by at the Yates County Courthouse for the term commencing Monday, May 8, 2017.  The matter scheduled for trial has been resolved.  You do not need to appear.  You will receive six years good service credit.  Thank you for your willingness to serve.

 

 

Town and Village Jurors should comply with your summon instructions.

Grand Jurors should comply with the directions of the Yates County District Attorney's Office.

General Information​ ​
 
Absence or Emergency ​   ​If illness or emergency prevents you from reporting, please call our office at 315-536-5125 after 9:00 a.m. on the day you are to report.
 
Accessibility   If you have a disability and need accommodation, call 315-536-5125 or 1-800-662-1220 for relay call.
 
Court Hours   Court normally operates from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a lunch hour and breaks throughout the day.  Court sessions rarely continue beyond 5:00 p.m.
 
Electronics​  ​Cell phones and other electronic devices are NOT allowed in the Courthouse so please leave them at home or in your vehicle to speed the magnetometer screening process.
 
Meals ​​There is a mid-day lunch break every day.  Several restaurants are located on Main and Liberty Streets. You may check FLXLunch.com for a listing of local restaurants and their daily specials. https://www.flxlunch.com/ 
 
Parking/Transportation The court does not pay for transportation fares, parking fees or parking violations. Parking is available in the lots off Main Street and Liberty Street and at the Baptist Church and the Presbyterian Church.  PLEASE DO NOT PARK AT THE LIBRARY.
 
Security  ​Court Officers are stationed throughout the court.  Members of the public must pass through a magnetometer to enter.  Please arrive early and allow extra time for this process.
